Thurs 7th May: Our Ap Lei Chau Centre is 2 years old

The new dogs from AFCD arrived safely, including two lovely puppies who are now Hattie and Harley, and poodle Curly who is a standard poodle and very sweet.  The other two adults were sent to our Tai Po Homing Centre, and I got to Ap Lei Chau just too late to meet them all so names and photos will follow tomorrow.

It's been exactly two years since we moved to our "new" Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, and many dogs and puppies have come and gone over that time.  It seems strange to be so quiet and half empty now, when there have been so many times when we could hardly squeeze another little body in.   I'm sure things will be busy again before too long, and we've still been making plans for upcoming events assuming that socialising will back to normal.

Sadie is a beautiful German shepherd in the prime of her life

Meanwhile of course we have many dogs at Tai Po, hundreds in fact, including beautiful German shepherd Sadie, who at only four years is still in her prime.  4-year-old German Shepherd Sadie is still waiting for her lifelong family! Sadie is a high energy dog who requires lots of daily exercise and training. Her ideal adopter will be someone who has an active lifestyle, lives in an area where she can have more space and is strong enough to handle her when walking. Indoors however Sadie is very cuddly and acts just like a puppy.
