Archie found his forever family at Tai Po today |
It was only when I downloaded the photo of puppy Archie and his new family at Tai Po that I realised he must be the brother of Tom, another incredibly sweet puppy who is still waiting for his forever home. Just look at the ears and you'll see what I mean, as they're a very special style. Archie was sent to Tai Po with a few other pups at a time when I had so many on Lamma it was impossible to house them all, and it seems that although Tom has been lucky enough to have been in foster for quite a while it is Archie who ended up being the luckier one. If you would like a wonderful family dog with the softest nature - as well as the special ear style - please ask about Tom.

Tom and Archie have the same funny ears |
There was an additional, and very special adoption at our main Tai Po Homing Centre today when big Winston left for the last time. He's another dog who has been with us for a very long time, and for these seniors it means so much to us to know that they will end their days with the love of a family and the comfort of a real home. Thank you to eleven year-old Winston's adopters, and to all of those who open their hearts to these old dogs.

We are all thrilled to bits about Winston's adoption |
Before joining us at Whiskers N Paws, Instagrammer Allan Dixon was at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre to have some fun with the smaller dogs and puppies who are staying there. Allan's someone who has no qualms about getting down on the floor and being licked half to death by little tongues. Take a look at his Instagram video on our Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) Facebook page and see for yourself.
There will be a few disappointed potential adopters for new poodle boy Bailey as he left the Homing Centre today. Still, his "brother" Baxter is available, although he isn't as roll-on-his-back sweet as Bailey it's true.

I'm waiting to see Allan's video of the puppy afternoon |
Allan was there to see the adoptions of puppies Wilma and Pizza, though missed the later home-goings of Jacob and baby Lucy, as well as the lovely birthday donation from Suzanne (and thank you).
We still have so many beautiful puppies waiting for their homes and families, and you can take a look at them here:

Suzanne has shared her birthday money in previous years too |
