My afternoon meetings were cancelled today, although I did make it to Acorn with puppies that were due vaccinations, and please note that (unsurpisingly) the Pure Yoga event has been postponed due to the rain so please don't turn up.

Found stray and urgently in need of shelter

I noticed on a friend's Facebook page that there were two young Bernese Mountain dogs needing homes, and today I got a message from our Tai Po Homing Centre letting me know that someone had found a young stray female of the same breed.  This girl looks like a typical breeder dog in that she has bad skin and ear mites, something that virtually every breeder dog we have taken in is infected with.   We urgently need a home for the stray, so please let Cindy know if you can foster (foster@hongkongdogrescue.com), or if you would like to adopt please complete the Adoption Questionnaire on our website www.hongkongdogrescue.com (under Adopt).

Our 2016 Review has been posted on the Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) Facebook page if you would like to take a look at the year's roundup.  It's encouraging to note that although adoption numbers have dropped, which we assume is due to the number of new rescue groups and organisations that have sprung up, overall the figures are positive.   However we will continue to try harder to increase adoption awareness and to show potential dog owners that saving a life by adopting is the way to go.  Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) added 33 new photos to the album HKDR Work Review 2016.
