Weds 8th Feb: All about puppies today

Vivi leaving the Homing Centre

It's all about puppies today as we have so many that unfortunately fell into the Christmas/New Year/Chinese New Year "black hole", that period when few people want to adopt because of holidays or going away.  Too many of the dogs that ended up staying with me on Lamma so many years ago were these unlucky ones who never found homes simply because of the timing.

Thankfully we're seeing adopters coming back now to choose one of our lovely hopefuls, and today it was Vivi's turn to wave goodbye to her friends and playmates as she headed off to start her new life.

We don't normally ask for foster homes for the older-than-babies puppies, but because of the large numbers currently at Kennedy Town we're in need of such temporary homes until we can clear some space.  Usko and Ursula, for example, are still young puppies who have just been returned from their previous foster home.

For all foster enquiries, please email Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com.

For adoptions please complete the questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/, but please consider whether you have the time and space for a puppy that will quickly grow into a medium-to-large, even very large adult dog.  As much as we love to see puppies being adopted, the same criteria still apply because too many puppies end up being surrendered once they grow to be too big.

  1. Golly gee! How many more white/cream dogs with pink noses can there be??? Wow! There's 7 here. Do they all come from the same area? Amazing.
