Thurs 7th June: T3 and 2 lucky dogs

Harry went straight from AFCD kennels to a home
I finally got the good news that the golden retriever who had been waiting a long time at the Pokfulam AFCD kennels was being released, only to see that the Typhoon Signal 3 was in force and that meant I wouldn't be able to get across from Lamma.  I didn't want to leave the dog any longer so while I was busy trying to find him a home, or even a foster, I was also arranging for Kathy in the office to go and pick him up and get him to Acorn.  Everything went very smoothly and by the time he was finished at the vet there was a home waiting for him, and he is there now with his new name - Harry - and family.  How wonderful it would be if all dogs were that lucky.
Lilac's life has also changed dramatically for the better

There was another lucky dog today despite the heavy rain, Lilac, one of the new Yorkies from AFCD.   That's one down and a lot still to go, hopefully over the weekend.

Talking of the weekend, we will be at Whiskers N Paws on Sunday of course, but we will be discontinuing our Saturday puppy afternoons at Heal in Sai Ying Pun, at least for the moment. However, there are puppies available to meet and adopt every single day of the week at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, so you can always visit if you want to meet them.
Martha is a big girl, but very sweet

There are now only 4 of the original "Rubbish Litter" shown here, but they are doing well now

I'm happy to say that the "Rubbish Litter" are now thriving after an initial struggle with tick fever, and we also have the sweet and beautiful Martha as well as smart boy Pepper.
