Tues 11th July: The V Puppies and Nigel

Vera and Nigel at Tai Po

There are always so many photos of lovely smaller-sized dogs and puppies to share, which I will again in a minute, but I want to remind everyone that we have beautiful and very sweet doglets along with the adults staying at our Tai Po Homing Centre.

Vera, who moved with her siblings up to the big Centre from Kennedy Town just recently, has been having fun in the splash pools we provide for the dogs in this very hot weather, along with new friend Nigel, another young and very friendly boy who should be in a home.  Just because they're a bit bigger and not cute and fluffy, doesn't mean that they are less wonderful as family members, and certainly no less deserving of a home.  So many of the adoption applications we receive certainly have room for a larger-than-tiny dog, and it seems a shame to waste all of that lovely space.

There are many more like Vera and Nigel, and all they need is that one fateful meeting that will result in them being in a home for life.

Talia and Tyler

Back to the recent arrivals, and I'm happy to say that all are looking quite different from the very scared group that came through our door.  There are even wagging tails from the Havanese, like Ticket shown here in the very short video.  It's amazing what treats can achieve, especially when dogs have been starved of both food and affection.

Trisha

Trisha is looking so lovely, very much like River, another dog who's still living at the Lamma Home for Small Dogs.

Tyra

So many people have been asking about the puppy Tyra, so luckily for her we can choose the home that we think can provide the best life.

Tucker

While I agree that Tyra is cute beyond words, my heart is taken by another little puppy called Tucker, a "breed" I used to call the Monkey Dogs, and which I haven't seen for a long time.  I wish I could take him, but that pleasure will be someone else's.

For all adoption enquiries please complete the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/ as a first step.
