Tues 8th March: Good news is trickling in

Maggie has her own family now

The good news keeps trickling in, with today's being the adoption of Tai Po dog Maggie who now has her own family to take care of her.

Edward's the last of the 3 brothers to be adopted

One of the puppies in foster care, this time Edward, has also found himself a lovely forever home, meaning we can close the file on the story of the three brothers who were surrendered to us by the owner of the mother and father.

There are further meetings planned between potential families and other puppies still waiting, and I hope I'll be able to share more instant links of puppies-in-waiting and their locations (areas) as soon as Eagle has completed that particular task.   In the meantime you can always check out the many photos and videos at Instagram@why_i_foster and @typhoon_k_puppies, and our own Hong Kong Dog Rescue Facebook page and Instagram@hkdr_official for lots more.

Klondike had been shaved when he arrived

I had to make a quick trip to Happy Valley today and was sharing the van with giant Tai Po dog Klondike, who took up the whole of the back seat.  He was the victim of a cruel previous owner, so sadly he's not a dog that's suitable for most families (and he's huge too), but he loves our driver Ming, so maybe we can find someone else similar for Klondike.   He's such a beautiful dog, and the cold weather over the recent month or so has been perfect for him.   His coat is growing back into the thick fur covering that it should be, and he now resembles a polar bear.  Maybe someone reading this will be the right person for Klondike, keeping in mind that he needs a large space and is very strong.

For all adoptions please start by completing the questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/
