Sun 16th Jan: Five lucky puppies today!

Raisin is a very sweet and small older puppy

Jimmy Tsang was the volunteer photographer for today's Whiskers N Paws Puppy Adoption Day 16th Jan 2022 , and he was kept busy with all of the hopefuls running around the terrace and having fun.
Guy will regret pulling that face when he looks back

There were also three adoptions to record, as well as another double one that took place at our own Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre when we ran out of time.  It's been a while since five puppies went home on the same day, so hopefully we can take continue to take advantage of this period between the Christmas/New Year break and the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.  Remember you can meet many of the available puppies at our Homing Centre any day of the week, and the foster puppies by arrangement vis Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com.

Ripple and Wavy moved straight to their new home from foster

Koko is one of the "K-Pup" litter (he looks just like Ziti)

I do love looking through all of the photos, and I have to admit it would be hard to choose just one puppy if I was the potential adopter, but I want to give a special shout-out for super-sweet boy Wilson with the funny face and pink nose, and lovely Maisie, both of whom have now been moved to our Tai Po Homing Centre.

As you know, I'm really reluctant to mention dogs that are being surrendered before they actually arrive, as too often they end up being passed to friends, neighbours or anyone else who turns up.  However in this case I believe that the dogs will be brought to us as the contact came via someone I know, and it would be really nice to have homes waiting rather than have the dogs staying at our Homing Centres. They have all lived together with the family and I'm told they're very friendly towards dogs and people.  The reason for them being given up is financial hardship due to Covid restrictions ruining their business, and I know this is genuine.

Two of the dogs are long-haired dachshund boys, seven and eight, and we would really like to see them adopted as a pair.  For now we won't consider potential homes that only want to adopt one of them.

The other two are ten year-old labrador and an Alaskan malamute, eight years old.

If you can offer suitable homes to any of these dogs, please start by completing the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/
