I posted on Facebook that there was a charter flight being arranged to take dogs and their humans to the UK for anyone who's having trouble finding a way to get their pets on a plane, and the response has been quite overwhelming. I need to mention that HKDR isn't the organiser of the charter flight, but we're happy to forward all enquiries. For those who are asking additional questions, like is there another flight going to Australia, I can't answer as this is only about the UK. As it was a quiet news day today, I just wanted to take the opportunity to remind everyone about ways to support for the Lunar New Year which may have slipped your mind, things like taking all of your small change to the nearest Coin Dragon 換幣龍 and choosing to donate to HKDR. I'm sure most people have a collection of change lying around so why not put it to good use.
The Red Packets for Lunar New Year are now available for sale at either of our Homing Centres, so be sure to pick them up before they disappear.
If you're having a birthday or any other celebration, you can choose to share your good fortune via Twopresents and let them handle everything for you, or check out Charitable Choice to see how you can donate.
If you'd like to donate something nice directly to the dogs they're always happy to receive high quality dogs treats, such as dried meat or fish (please no highly scented treats which aren't remotely natural or healthy).
I should mention that even if there's no adoption news to share there's always plenty of things going on, even if it's just taking care of the dogs and puppies and their never-ending needs!
