Sun 16th June: A memorable day for HK, not for adoptions

Salad points to her name
This Sunday was a memorable one for Hong Kong but understandably not for adoptions, with only Miss Freckles leaving our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre with her new family.  As this sweet little girl started her new life the anticipated arrival of a large new group of dogs and puppies took over, and after sorting and counting there was a total of five adults and eight puppies to think up names for.  They are small to medium sizes, very beautiful, and including my favourite scruffy terrier types. As I have said so many times before, if I didn't already have a very full house I would be taking at least two of these home myself.

We also have plenty of very young puppies needing homes or fosters, so please contact Cindy if you can help.  I know this is a difficult time with other matters occupying thoughts, but nature doesn't stand still and there are unwanted puppies being born all the time.  Of course the ultimate answer is to persuade all dog owners to desex their pets but it seems ignorance is still rife.
Another very lovely new pup

We had two new volunteer photographers at Whiskers N Paws this afternoon, with some lovely shots by Ling Tsang Puppy Adoption Day 16 June 2019 - Part 2
We were having some fun with trying to add names to the photos in the main album by Sanja Bernard and you can see the results here (James wanted to hold his own sign).
Wilby was taken for fostering later
