Knowing that I'll be taking new puppies out of AFCD always poses the problem of where to put them, as the Lamma space is restricted and I can't keep babies at the house, while we already have a number staying at the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre and in foster homes. If anyone would like to foster, or even adopt, one or two of the black fluffy "Diamonds" please let me or Cindy know (foster@hongkongdogrescue.com), and please remember that you can meet puppies any day of the week from 10am to 6pm at 5 Wai Fung Street, Ap Lei Chau, as well as the whole collection on Sunday afternoons at Whiskers N Paws.

Cello didn't mind being the centre of attention |
We've been lucky in finding homes for most of the older puppies now, but eight month-old Cello is one of those still waiting. She has grown into a very sweet girl, medium sized and well behaved. Our HKDR trainer, Cactus, chose Cello to accompany her on a school talk on Tuesday, and although a little bit nervous at first Cello soon settled into her role as HKDR Ambassador, happy to accept the touch and petting of the students wanting to get close. Baby pups are always more attractive in terms of the cuteness factor, but the older puppies allow you to know exactly what you're getting in terms of looks, size and character. If you'd like to meet Cello she's staying full time at our Ap Lai Chau Homing Centre, upstairs in the office area with the other adult dogs.

Sparky's just a little guy |
I've been surprised that there hasn't been more interest in Sparky either, as although a mixed breed and already an adult, he's small sized and very cute. You can also meet Sparky at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, but please do remember to complete the Adoption Questionnaire on our website www.hongkongdogrescue.com first.
