Sun 8th July: Too hot to be fun

Jack fast asleep
One thing I realised after getting back from the Whiskers N Paws afternoon is that the older ones can handle the heat but the babies find it tough, so I think next Sunday I'll keep the younger ones inside in the puppy enclosure so they, and the visitors, can enjoy air conditioning.   It's unpleasant for all of us to be out in the sun for three hours when it's so hot, and not really fair on the little ones although they just find shade and sleep.  Newbies Jack and Jill did just that, as did fluffy Diamond and the short-coated sisters Oyster and Nattie, so you wouldn't even have seen them if you weren't specifically looking.
Diamond found herself a makeshift bed to sleep on

Sisters Nattie and Oyster stayed hidden from the heat

One thing that made me really happy was that previously-shy Tinker, who barely emerged from the crate last Sunday, was out and playing with the others this week, and even though fuzzy-faced Taylor stayed firmly hidden I did notice she was sticking her head out and watching the others.  That's progress too.
I was so happy to see Tinker playing today

Thank you Bryce (left) for sharng your birthday with the puppies
Chris Lu was the photographer today, and here's the full set with many wonderful shots of the puppies,  Puppy Adoption Day 8 July 2018 even though sadly there were no adoptions, just the promise of a home in Denmark soon. Young Bryce came with his brother and parents to make a TwoPresents birthday donation, so it wasn't an entirely wasted afternoon, and thank you to Bryce for choosing HKDR as his charity.
