Baby Diamond in 2013 |
It was lucky that Eva, "Little" Eva and Ka Yan chose today to come over to Lamma rather than Thursday when the rain started, and I was able to show them around accompanied by Diamond, who is always happy to greet visitors, and Tiffany.

Both of these dogs, and many more, are leftover puppies from some years ago, and as everyone commented, they're really lovely and friendly characters. It's probably too late for any of my Lamma dogs to find their own homes, though not impossible, but for the puppies that are currently living over on the island I'm determined that they won't grow up here. If they aren't adopted they will move to Tai Po, where at least they will have the opportunity to meet potential adopters. Monty is one puppy currently with me who I'm really quite desperate to find a foster for, if not a forever home, because until last Sunday he had always been living in a home environment and he is quite distraught about losing that. If you can help with fostering please contact Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com, thank you.

As a reminder we have two puppy adoption opportunities this weekend, with Saturday's location being Heal, 10 Second Street, Sai Ying Pun (1pm to 4pm) and our usual Sunday afternoon venue at Whiskers N Paws, 10/F Horizon Plaza (2pm to 5pm). If anyone had been hoping to meet baby Hobbit though, he left the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre today with his new family so he's not longer available.

Bye bye little Hobbit |
Continuing our run of good news from Tai Po, Zumba's adoption was confirmed today after a short trial. She was surrendered to AFCD from the same home as Zola, and as always there's a tinge of sadness about Zumba's adoption as she had to leave her best friend behind. As much as possible we try to keep pairs together, but sadly not everyone wants two dogs or there may already be a resident dog in the home. Zola is a medium size, at the smaller end of the size chart, and also a very sweet girl.
