Sun 18th March: Every day is Puppy Day now

Hannah and Sidney are staying at our Tai Po Centre
Marco Lam was today's volunteer photographer and you can see the full set of wonderful photos here
Puppy Adoption Day 18 March 2018
It's not as easy as it might seem getting good shots of puppies that are constantly running around and we really appreciate the time and skill of our photographers, whether at puppy afternoons or other events, so thank you.

There were four adoptions at Whiskers N Paws, three puppies and a shiba inu that had been brought by one of our volunteers who had just taken it off a friend who wanted to re-home  her dog.  I guessed it wouldn't take long to find a new family for a shiba inu, but wasn't expecting it to happen on the spot.  Still, it did, and Mocha found a new family.

Two of the adoptions were puppies that had already been taken on previous Sunday's for fostering or a trial, so Pixel officially became Henry but with no photo to show as he had stayed at home.  Teddy was the other lucky boy, and only Waldo ended up being newly chosen during the afternoon.

Many of the puppies who were taken for fostering as babies during Chinese New Year are starting to come back if not yet adopted, and today it was Emu who had to be sent up to the Tai Po Homing Centre, along with Sidney, Hannah and Zelda.  These puppies (plus Monty) can be seen and adopted any day of the week from 10am to 6pm if you missed coming to Whiskers N Paws today.  They are all lovely characters, and although Tai Po is nothing like a real home environment at least the pups gets lots of cuddles and socialisation, as well as training.

You can also meet and adopt young puppies at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre any day of the week from 10am to 6pm, as the five new babies are staying there for the moment.

Emu was one of these 3 babies taken for fostering.  Stan and Aden were the lucky two adopted

Emu had to be sent to Tai Po at the end of the afternopn

There were no adoptions at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, but we did take in an old peke girl instead.  We had been given the wrong information about her age and health condition, which isn't  unusual, so rather than being eight or nine year old this girl is actually thirteen.
