Tues 6th Sept: 3 lucky "A" adoptions

Rocco and Ringo

The new dogs arrived from AFCD Shatin today, two of which went to our Tai Po Homing Centre while the other one, a pomeranian puppy, went straight to his new home (via our North Street Kennedy Town Centre).  This puppy had been confiscated at the airport after having been sent by a breeder (from Taiwan presumably) with incorrect paperwork, and it's easier for the breeders to give up the puppies rather than contest the case.  For this puppy at least it means he will have a happy life ahead of him.
Two happy children with their new puppy

For the two large dogs, they join the hundreds of other hopefuls at Tai Po, and as always I hope they will be one of the lucky few who find new families sooner rather than later.  They're handsome and unusual looking, so that should work in their favour.

Second time lucky for Acorn

Another very lucky puppy was adopted from our Kennedy Town Centre today, as Acorn had been found abandoned on the street and taken to Acorn Vet Hospital as a first stop (hence the name).  Now she has been given a second start in life, and a forever home this time round.

Two more dogs left our HKDR@Elgin space, Adam having been chosen on Sunday and Autumn attracting a lot of interest after her video was shared on Facebook and Instagram.

Autumn will have a friend in her new home

Abby will almost certainly be the next dog to leave as she too had many enquiries after she starred in her own video.

Terrier types Archie and Alexi will probably move to Lamma while they wait for a new home willing to adopt them as a pair, while the remaining dogs at 22 Elgin Street will either have to be relocated upstairs, or sent to Kennedy Town before Friday when we need the downstairs for the training course.
