Fri 9th Sept: Rounding up the week

These puppies will be medium as adults, not large

I have to start by saying thank you (again) to everyone who came to help at our HKDR@Elgin location in Soho when the latest group of dogs and puppies arrived so suddenly.  This particular story ended today when the remaining three dogs moved to our North Street Centre, with Alexi heading off in a different direction to a foster home, hopefully forever if things work out.  Now Anya, Aggie and Avery are ready to meet their potential adopters, and there are quite a few of them, so I'm feeling confident that these girls will be with their new families very soon.

I should also say thank you to long-term supporter, adopter and part-time volunteer Gary, for offering to drive the dogs from Soho to Kennedy Town as we're currently without our van and driver, Ming.

Frankie, Ferris and Fiona as caught by the rescuer

Now it's time to start thinking about the puppies again, especially as we had three new arrivals today, thankfully with a foster home to go to.

We still have a full house at our Kennedy Town Homing Centre, with older puppies at North Street and two full-time residents staying at Whiskers N Paws, the venue for every Sunday's Puppy Party.  For photos please head over to our Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) Facebook page, and remember to complete the adoption questionnaire as a first step if you're interested in meeting any of the dogs or puppies:  https://hongkongdogrescue.com/.../adoption-questionnaire/.

Piper was described as happy and friendly

Another dog, now called Piper, was surrendered to our Tai Po Homing Centre today, and once again we are all saddened on behalf of this poor dog for losing her home and family, the only one she had ever known.  If you have space in your home, please consider taking in one of these dogs, because they really don't deserve what has happened to them,
