Sat 2nd July: T8 Chaba

There wasn't much happening today thanks to the T8 Typhoon signal, so I want to talk about Sunday and the puppies in particular.  It's going to be the last call for puppy  Luna (F), who's going to have to be returned from her foster home and be sent to the large Homing Centre at Tai Po if she's not lucky this weekend.  I personally find it very sad when this happens, because I know the foster parents have dedicated so much time and effort into caring for the puppies, including training, and you can see a wonderful video of Luna showing off all of her tricks on our Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR)
Facebook page.  As I've said so many times before, this is a perfect age for adoption because all of the hard work has already been done, but the puppy is still young and adaptable, so fitting in to a new home and environment takes a very short time.

The same applies to sisters Dulcie (F) and Demi (F) who have been staying in their Sai Kung foster home since they were very young puppies.  You can see them growing up day by day on the Instagram page @why_i_foster, and again these girls are at the perfect age for adoption.

In case you're new to HKDR, our Homing Centres are open every single day of the year from 10am to 6pm, and all we ask is that you complete the adoption questionnaire as a first step, then wait for a reply before visiting (please remember to check your Spam inbox).  I do try to reply on the same day, and many time within a few minutes depending on what I'm doing.  The questionnaire can be found at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/
