Tues 8th Oct: Sorting out the new arrivals

Ruthie has lost one eye but she's a sweet and playful girl
The new dogs arrived at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre very early, thanks again to Kaz of Freedom Rides, and as usual they had no microchips to identify any ex-owner or age. Dr Joe at Acorn was the one to see them later in the day and to allocate ages based on physical condition, and it was only the two medium-sized mixed breeds who seem to be young this time round, with the poodle and shih tzu (types) being around eight years.  Thankfully all are in reasonable condition other than the teeth, so a dental is necessary for all except the two younger ones.

If you're interested in meeting any of these new dogs they've gone to foster homes, so please contact Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com or complete the Adoption Questionnaire on our website www.hongkongdogrescue.com (under Adopt).
Snickers is a young mini-mongrel adult
Scooter is also a sweet boy

Sweet little Guppy
Acorn was packed with HKDR dogs and puppies today, including the two husky pups who seem to have tick fever, as do the two other babies Tuna and Guppy. It's not serious in any of the four, but enough that we've started treatment.

It's another short week with Monday having been a Public Holiday, and with these unsettling times in Hong Kong I worry about the dogs.  They have no political opinions and just want to have homes and to be loved, and trying to achieve that is all I can do.
