Sun Ist Sept: A last-minute decision

I decided not to risk going over to Whiskers N Paws today as there was a good chance I'd be stuck over on Hong Kong Island and unable to get back home if the Typhoon Signal 3 was raised.  It turned out to be a good call as the wind got stronger throughout the day, but from Jimmy Tsang's lovely photos  Puppy Adoption Day 1 September 2019  it looks as though the puppies were able to enjoy the outside terrace for a change.

Bruno is now Luca 

The only adoption for the afternoon was that of Bruno-now-Luca, and it took me a while to remember who he was.   He had been taken for fostering at the start of the awful period when so many puppies got sick, and even died, and now his permanent status has been confirmed.  I recall he was a very small baby,  and very cute too, and from the photo it seems he hasn't grown too big.

It was a very lucky move for Tomlin, adopted today

Once the puppies get to a certain age and are still with us, they move from the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre to the big Tai Po space, and that's what happened to Tomlin and Phoenix last week.  For Tomlin at least it was a very lucky move as he was adopted today,  making everyone at both Homing Centres happy.   As it happens, Tomlin's sister Faith is almost certainly going to be adopted by her foster parents too, and we're just waiting for confirmation of that. 

Bruno and Tomlin (and hopefully Faith) will of course start the September adoption list, but for August these are the lucky dogs and puppies that found their forever homes:

Six new babies need fostering please 

As soon as dogs and puppies leave to start their new lives  replacements are waiting to take their places, and today we received six little babies, very cute of course, and we need foster homes please.  There's not enough space at the Homing Centre to keep the older and younger pups together, so we really prefer that the little ones go to foster homes.  Please email Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com if you can help.
