Fri 7th Dec: Working from home

It's been a difficult time since my Murphy had his second eye removed as it hasn't been healing well and he isn't coping and has become very needy,  so I've been staying at home this week.  Luckily a lot of my work is done on the computer anyway, but I feel out of touch if not actually present at the office or with the dogs and volunteers, at least occasionally.  It's a bit like driving a remote control car, with conversations taking place via Whatsapp rather than face to face, but luckily everyone is perfectly capable of doing what needs to be done, which today involved Andrea having to stay very late at the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre while waiting for a life-or-death decision about a dog, which in the end wasn't resolved anyway.  There'll be more of that story later when we have some updated news.

At least I can enjoy looking at the dogs' photos, thanks mainly to our long-term Ap Lei Chau volunteer Harryn who loves the dogs and knows how to get some great shots.  The dogs behave very differently when they feel relaxed and comfortable, and you can see the difference in these Homing Centre photos.
