Siblings Tino and Rosa were adopted together |
I sent a message ahead to Whiskers N Paws saying no lunch needed thanks, I think I'll be too busy. The staff there have been preparing amazing super-sandwiches for me recently as I clearly look as though I'm constantly hungry, but knowing we were going to be a volunteer short with Claudia sick with flu, as well as having a huge number of puppies arriving from their foster homes, I didn't want to be balancing food in one hand with forms and clipboards in another.

Sandy was adopted but I can't find a photo |

From the same litter as Tino and Rosa, Kipling-now-Oreo had his adoption confirmed |
As it turned out I was absolutely right, and we had an amazing afternoon with a total of nine puppies adopted and a further eight going for trails and/or fostering. (We asked the adopters of all the new baby pups to take a second for fostering as it helps both puppies and their human families during the settling in stage).
Please take a look at the photos by Jimmy Tsang in case you are interested in adopting
I'd been dreading going back home with several more crates than I'd taken so was extremely relieved and happy that only five pups made the boat ride back with me. One of those was sweet Wigbert and another Dylan, also a very gentle boy, and I felt so bad for them as they had been in lovely foster homes. They'll be back next week, but if anyone is interested in meeting them any day please let me or Cindy know.

Sweet Jade was also lucky today |

Baby Lara was chosen on her first Sunday |
As icing on the cake (and we had cake too) there was a very generous Two Presents birthday donation from Audrey, for which many thanks.
Following the visit to our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre of Chief Executive candidate Mr John Tsang, he has posted more about his experience and his promises to do more for the animals if he is elected.
