Sun 12th Feb: Puppy fosters needed PLEASE!

With nowhere else for them to go the pups ended up at Ap Lei Chau
It's impossible to work out why some puppy Sundays are so successful and others not, and I was thinking it might have something to do with today being the Hong Kong Marathon.  Whatever the reason it was a very disappointing afternoon with no adoptions and many puppies coming back from their foster homes, and with nowhere for them to go other than our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre.  As I still have the five month-old babies on Lamma taking up the only available space I can't take any older pups as the younger ones will get bullied, so until we find new foster homes our Homing Centre on Main Street is looking like a canine kindergarten.  If you can help PLEASE contact Cindy at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com so we can reclaim the space that's meant for adult dogs.

You can take a look at all of the puppies available for fostering or adoption here, Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) added 118 new photos to the album Puppy Adoption Day 12 February 2017 and thanks to Elena Mathew for being today's volunteer photographer.
Beautiful Saucer needs a home

There was at least one very happy adoption when sweet Coolio was taken home, and I met him later at Whiskers N Paws as his new family were buying some supplies.  He's a wonderful dog and we all love him.
Happy Coolio has a home

As Coolio was leaving we received a senior poodle who in his entire eleven years had never been taken for a walk.  I find it astonishing that anyone who has a dog can think that this is normal or acceptable, but obviously some (too many) think it is.
