Sun 4th June: Teddy's big day finally arrives

Breezy and Milo make a perfect pair

Today was more about following up on yesterday's adoptions and trials, and I'm happy to report that everything seems to be going extremely well with all of the new dogs taken home on Saturday.

Breezy, who left before we were able to give her a much-needed makeover, had her haircut and now looks almost exactly like her brother-to-be Milo (who is also an ex-HKDR poodle).  In fact these two are getting along so well I've just had confirmation that Breezy will be staying for ever.

Byron now lives close to the beach and had what was clearly his first experience of sand and sea, and I'm sure he'll grow to love it.  Everyone who took one of the "B" dogs home reported that they enjoyed a crazy zoomie session at some time during their first evening, so I think that means they're happy to be where they are.  It's always interesting to see how these dogs-from-somewhere react to being in a home, because at least it gives us an idea of their past experience and how they've lived before.

We still have a few of this group available, all looking very smart and clean now, but please note that they're not small dogs even if they appear that way in their photos.

Odette and Avia are good playmates

The puppies were back at Whiskers N Paws for their Sunday party, with Simon Li being the volunteer photographer for the event  Puppy Adoption Day 4th June 2023.  There's a second batch of photos still to be uploaded, so I'll add those tomorrow.

So many people are planning their summer getaways now so adoptions are being delayed until later, and little Avia is also heading off for her own holiday when she joins the Instagram @why_i_foster family for a while.  You'll be able to see her having lots of fun and adventures, I'm sure.

Teddy is home for good

Sadly there were no on-the-spot adoptions to record, but I know that the right home will come for each of these puppies, just as it did for terrier Teddy, who waited a long time but in the end found the perfect adopter and situation. We're all so happy for Teddy.

Please don't forget the dogs at our Tai Po Homing Centre, as they are also young and lovely, with many being only medium sized.  They are cared for as best as we're able to, but they need a home more than anything else.
