Weds 10th Aug: Making up for lost days

These 2 Rainbabies have a foster now

Just as a reminder if you are willing and able to foster young puppies at any time, please let Cindy know by emailing her at foster@hongkongdogrescue.com (or foster.hkdr@gmail.com).  It took a few days to arrange a foster home for two baby puppies-in-waiting after their rain rescue, so having such homes on standby is always very helpful.  Remember that HKDR provide everything you need in terms of food, bed, bowls etc, and all we ask from fosters is some space in your home, and your time.

The store at HKDR@Elgin

Another reminder is about our HKDR@Elgin space, which quite a lot of you may remember served as a temporary stopover for a large group of smaller dogs that turned up.  Now that almost all of these dogs have found homes, and the puppies are either also adopted or at least in foster homes, new staff member Cam has been busy setting up the ground floor area as the store it was meant to be, while the lower floor is our training and workshop space.  We have pretty much everything you need for your dogs at HKDR@Elgin, with lots of very cool T-shirts for humans too, and by the end of the month we'll have even more great merchandise on offer.  Every sale from the store goes directly towards helping the dogs and supporting our work, so please drop by if you're in the Soho area, 22 Elgin Street.

Jack was one of the Elgin puppies

This week has been a literal washout for me, as I can't get away from my home when there's a typhoon around. I'm not complaining about spending time with the dogs, especially as so many of them are Serious Seniors (meaning very old), but it does mean that I can't get much else done and I'll have to pack the whole week into Thursday and Friday.  I've lost track of which dogs and puppies are where in Kennedy Town, as we had a big switch between Brilliant Court (the official Homing Centre) and North Street (the office and quarantine location) when the puppies outgrew the space at "BC" and were moved to "NS".  That means when I'm replying to adoption enquiries I'm not really sure where the dogs are located, but at least it's only a short walk between the two places.

For all adoption enquiries please make sure you take the first step by completing the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/

Here's a list of the available puppies (Kennedy Town locations may have switched), and the photos from Sunday's Whiskers N Paws Puppy Party too:  Puppy Adoption Day 7th August 2022
