Tues 17th Aug: Still so many dogs and puppies waiting

Tiffany and Tommy

As is almost always the case with puppies born to stray mothers, the two "rainbabies" we took in last week have been found to have tick fever, or rather one of them has, and while it's treatable it means the infected one (Tiffany) needs to have frequent checks to make sure that the "liquid gold" is working.  The current foster home is too far away from Acorn, which is where the problem was diagnosed, so we need to move the puppies to a new temporary home closer to Sai Ying Pun. If you can help please let Cindy know by emailing foster.hkdr@gmail.com, or foster@hongkongdogrescue.com.  We will cover all of the vet costs, as well as food, so it's only a matter of needing a temporary home that's close enough to Acorn.
Tiny Tinny

The other puppy we needed a foster home for left today, and while Tinny will be on her own at least she'll have lots of attention and cuddles, which is exactly what she needs.

Indie is a gorgeous puppy girl

I can't believe we're already past the halfway mark in the week, and the month, and heading towards the weekend again.  That means Sunday at Whiskers N Paws, but happily puppy Indie won't be there this time as she will be leaving to start her new life before then.  She's such a lovely girl, and I guessed she would find a home fairly quickly.  Take another look at the photos from last Sunday's Puppy Party to guess who will be the next lucky one  Puppy Adoption Day 14th August 2022.

The remaining "Ears" puppies

Maybe one of the many puppies staying at our Kennedy Town Centres will be next, as we also have so many hopefuls at both Brilliant Court and North Street. The "Ears" litter are now at our official Homing Centre after having spent the first weeks at North Street, and you can meet them any day of the week between 10am and 6pm.

Snoopy (l) and Snuffle are always eager for attention

I'm also anticipating that the two pug puppies, Snoopy and Snuffle, won't have to wait too long, even if we're still hoping for a home for the two of them together.  I don't think they're actual brothers, but they're always together and are very bonded.  They're very sweet boys, extremely affectionate and always looking for attention, so be sure you can given them the time and training that they need before asking about adoption.

I'm sure I don't need to mention that we have literally hundreds of  lovely dogs at our Tai Po Homing Centre, sizes medium to large (and some very large), from older puppies to mature seniors.   Again we're open every single day of the year from 10am to 6pm, come rain, shine, typhoons and anything else, so please start by completing  https://hongkongdogrescue.com/.../adoption-questionnaire/ and let us help you to find the perfect companion for your home and family.
