Weds 6th April: Deleting more names from the puppy list

Jack leaving with his new family

Even though I had the pleasure of deleting a few names from the available puppy list today, we still have a lot of youngsters waiting, some of whom are growing up fast and becoming adolescents.  I really don't know why Betty, for example, hasn't been adopted yet because she's beautiful and a very sweet girl.  As always I guess it's just a matter of timing, and while she hasn't been lucky yet it was a big day for Jack, Lola and Krissy, with more interviews coming up which I obviously hope will add to April's adoption list.

Jack has gone to a home where he'll have an older "sister" to hang out with, while Lola's adopters are friends with the family who adopted Lola's sister Lucy, so the two girls will see a lot of each other as they grow up.  Krissy doesn't even have to move, as her family joined the "Failed Foster Club", so there's no adapting to a new environment or settling-in needed.

I mentioned Rumble and River again yesterday, because a lot of our smaller dogs really can't be adopted as singletons, and this also applies to Thomas and Tanner (currently in a foster home together) and Tessa, also being fostered with another dog.  Tanner in particular attracts a lot of interest because he's very beautiful, but he would find it extremely hard being without a supportive friend.  As I have written so many times, dogs are social animals that in nature always live in family groups (packs), and while most dogs are happy to accept their humans as their family, some timid dogs really need a canine companion.
