Weds 7th Nov: Keeping up with all the latest news

Milky is getting used to being handled and cuddled now
Well we won't be short of puppies this coming Sunday, and I'm not even talking about the seven new babies (one of which now has three legs).  The three that I took from AFCD last Friday are still undergoing treatment for assumed tick fever but they are responding very well to being picked up and handled after being very scared initially. Although they probably won't be at Whiskers N Paws this week they are available to meet any day of the week at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, as are the babies and older puppies.  We have two new recruits arriving on Thursday from AFCD Sheung Shui, so assuming they are healthy they will join the others on the terrace for Sunday's fun afternoon where everyone is welcome of course.  There's also a cafe at Whiskers N Paws where you can enjoy a cool drink or a coffee with a variety of snacks, so it's a perfect place for a family afternoon.  Full time puppy guests Blake and Sassy are always in-store if you want a cuddle with these two lovely and happy siblings.  They're growing fast and are also in need of real homes now, even if they love their Whiskers N Paws temporary family.

Meet these new boys on Sunday

Over at our Tai Po Homing Centre I'm really surprised that one of the gorgeous golden retrievers is still available as this is probably the most popular breed of all.  Zumba did come to us with really bad skin and a chest infection, but after two months of treatment she's good to go.  If you are interested in adopting Zumba, or any of our dogs and puppies, please complete the adoption questionnaire on our website www.hongkongdogrescue.com (under Adopt) as a first step.
