Thurs 9th Dec: Come and get your Christmas wine while stocks last!

Rosie has new girl nerves at the moment

As always it was a full day with lots of things going on, starting with the arrival of a smallish dog, estimated to be around three years old but without a microchip so that's always just a guess.  Rosie is rather nervous at the moment, although I noticed she's already joined the Homing Centre Guard, meaning the welcome committee that barks at new visitors.  It's a friendly greeting, even if a bit off-putting for some at first.

Lennox is adopted

Dachshund Lennox was picked up by his adopter, and by all accounts he's settled in very well and is obviously used to living in a home.  I find it incredibly sad, in fact astonishing, that anyone who has a dog as a family member can so casually abandon it at AFCD.  What kind of cold heart must such people have?

Sweet Juliet

I didn't get the photos of the new puppies from AFCD in time for yesterday's post, so here they are.  Juliet is apparently very sweet and friendly, while Gladys is still a bit scared but I'm sure she'll soon settle in.  Both puppies are staying at our Tai Po Homing Centre and you can meet them any day of the week from 10am to 6pm, but please start by completing the adoption questionnaire at www.hongkongdogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-questionnaire/

Gladys

Driver Ming picked up a new consignment of assorted wines which were donated, and they are now available at the bargain price of $50 a bottle or $500 for a case of twelve.  With Christmas fast approaching what better time to grab a case or two, and support HKDR at the same time.

Assorted wines available now

By now I expect many of you will already have read the continuing story of the hijacked dogs and cats, and the rescue of many mixed breeds that were so callously thrown away for being worthless, just as I had feared. If not, here's the link to HK Animal Post that carried the story https://www.facebook.com/hkanimalpost (English translation is available).
