Thurs 12th Dec: More puppies plus gifts for adopters

Tarmac the lab-alike puppy boy
There was an additional puppy on top of the six youngsters plus one labalike older one today, a baby who was incredibly lucky to be immediately offered a foster home.  Now-Google was a singleton at AFCD Pokfulam, and luckily I was going there anyway to take out a poor ten year-old boy whose owners had dumped him there because they were (apparently) leaving Hong Kong.  To them I would love to be able to say a few words, but of course I don't know who they are except their dog is called Toby and is black and fluffy.  Maybe someone will know this couple and can let them know that their dog was so scared and confused, as all dogs are when they end up in this situation.  How can you do this to a dog you have had for ten years?
Baby Google went straight to foster

The new puppies are very happy and friendly, but their arrival at the Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre meant that the resident puppies in the upstairs room had to be moved downstairs so the safe space could accommodate the new intake.  We really do need foster homes if you can help out, and we'll provide everything that's needed including food, bed, bowls and toys.  Again please contact Cindy if you're able to help.  The email is foster@hongkongdogrescue.com in case you're a new reader of my blog.
These puppies had to move downstairs at the Homing Centre

We'll be at Whiskers N Paws with all of the puppies on Sunday afternoon, and as always the store has gone all out to make it as Christmassy as possible, including the annual Operation Santa Paws collection which supports rescue organisations like HKDR.    Please come along to join the fun, cuddle the puppies and maybe take one home.
That's our Maddie who's also waiting for a home

Remember we have a new adoption offer running at the moment which means even if you're going away for the Christmas/New Year break you can still choose a puppy and we'll look after it for you until you get back.  There'll also be additional gifts from Whiskers N Paws when you adopt to help you celebrate this special moment.
