Sat 21st Dec: Last Concordia event of the year

Lovely Jack Russell girl Russo
At this time of year we're reaching the "lasts", as in today's last Concordia Pet Care adoption afternoon of 2019, and not unexpectedly it was a pretty quiet event with only adorable puppy Marina finding a foster home.  Still, we're grateful for that, and to Becky and the team of volunteers who help out on these Saturday afternoons, not to mention Concordia Pet Care for the kind use of their space.

Thanks also to all of the volunteer photographers who donate their time to record every event, not only the adoption afternoons, and to Semirah who arranges the photographer schedules and also edits and posts all of the photo albums, often several at a time. It's a huge task which needs to be done quickly so you can see the photos by the following day.  Thank you Semirah!
Small-sized Alice is just a year old

Today's photographers were Yvonne Chan  Puppy Adoption Day 21 December 2019 - Part 1
and Laura Nie  Puppy Adoption Day 21 December 2019 - Part 2

All of the puppies and small-sized adults shown in these photos are available for adoption and are staying at our Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre, which is open every single day.  Today's adults were Jack Russell girl Russo, and small-sized mixes Alice and Midge.  They're all young and very sweet dogs and ready for a family to love.
Midge has an even smaller-sized sister called Renee at our Homing Centre

Sunday's Whiskers N Paws afternoon won't be the last for this year as we'll be back again on the 29th December for the post-Christmas, pre-New Year puppy party, and I hope there'll be lots to celebrate.  If nothing else the puppies love their three hours of  play on the terrace, so it's always a happy time regardless.  We've been holding the Sunday puppy afternoons at Whiskers N Paws for so many years now, and hundreds of little lives have been transformed during those times, so thank you to everyone who has chosen to adopt a puppy and promised it a home for life, not to mention Whiskers N Paws for their amazing support over such a long time.

The lucky dog at our own Ap Lei Chau Homing Centre today was senior poodle Inca, a fairly recent arrival from AFCD.
